Fantastic Fate Resources

We’re creating free, mostly fantasy themed materials for the Fate Accelerated Edition and  Fate Core tabletop RPGs (both of which are available as Pay-What-You-Want products in a number of electronic formats right here) published by Evil Hat Productions. While antagonists, opponents, and hazards don’t take that long for an experienced GM to write up, sometimes you just don’t have enough prep time before a session, or the player characters head off in an unexpected direction and you need something to throw at them fast.

That’s where these resources come in. These fully statted up creatures, NPCs, and traps can be dropped into a session for an instant encounter, or used as the basis for a preplanned adventure scenario.

FFR-Giant-Example

On the last Friday of each month, we’ll release a new set of resources (a collection of between one to four antagonists, monsters, and hazards depending on size and complexity) grouped by theme or location to our Patreon supporters. At the end of the following month, we’ll make that resource set publicly available for free here on our blog site. Each set of resources is provided as both letter-sized and A4-sized PDFs for easy printing, contains both Fate Accelerated and Fate Core stats, with each individual entry taking up about half a page.

Below is a selection of the most recent publicly available Fantastic Fate Resources. We’ll update this list as new resources are added each month. Click on either the “A4” or “Letter” next to each entry to download a PDF of the indicated size. Or click on either Monsters or Heroes to browse the entire collection of available resources. (Please note that some entries are still being updated and do not currently have Fate Core stats.)

Heroes

All heroes are a single page, with both Fate Accelerated and Fate Core statistics.

Below are older PDFs of fantasy characters and monsters created before the Fantastic Fate Resources Patreon page went up. As such, they do not have the new page design and do not include Fate Core stats. As these entries get updated, we’ll remove them from the list.
